mission

  • Honor our Pilipino roots by raising awareness of the diverse languages, behaviors, and traditions of our people, while providing an education on the current issues Pilipinx-Americans face.

  • Provide an avenue for students to explore and unlock their potential by understanding their identity and purpose through the lens of Pilipino history, culture, and experiences.

  • Establish relationships within our organization that engage students with community leaders and professionals.

  • Challenge injustice by advocating for the transformation of institutions that inflict harsh community conditions on Pilipinos and Pilipinx-Americans.

  • Increase the visibility of our skills, contributions, and resilience, not only as Pilipinx-Americans but as global citizens.

Together, we are the voice of proud Pilipinx American Students in Southern California.

OUR events

UNITY DINNER

Unity Dinner is one of our first events of the year! This usually takes place in early August right before the school year starts. About four Executive Board members from each member organization attends. This is a great opportunity for Executive Board members to meet each other and make connections going into the school year.

COLLABS

What is a Collab? It’s basically our version of a general meeting where Pilipino organizations from all over SoCal come together and COLLAB(ORATE). It’s a great space to externalize and see what other fellow collegiate students and organizations are up to.

These meetings are held once a month throughout the school year and is hosted by one of the SCPASA member organizations. Each collab has its own theme and topics that are discussed, usually revolving around issues facing the Pilipinx-American community.

SUMMIT

Summit is a one-day conference that features a wide variety of speakers, activities and entertainment. It is held at the university campus of one active SCPASA member organization.

Numerous workshops are held throughout the day to give attendees various opportunities to learn about topics that concern a common theme that is chosen for that year.
